Discover how this non-invasive treatment exfoliates, targets common skin concerns, and compares to traditional microdermabrasion.
Introducing Diamond Peel Skin Treatment
Diamond peel is a non-invasive, mechanical procedure that removes dead skin cells, dirt and excess oil on the skin surface. It improves the appearance and feel of the skin and is an effective procedure for many different skin conditions:
- Fine scars
- Enlarged pores
- Sun damage
- Fine Lines
- Acne scarring
- Uneven complexion
- Blocked pores and milia
What is Diamond Peel?
A diamond peel treatment uses an abrasive diamond cut tip to loosen dead cells, dirt and excess oil on the skin surface.
The diamond cut head is secured to a handpiece that is attached to a machine fitted with a suction pump, this will vacuum the exfoliated dead skin cells away.
Diamond Peel is a gentler alternative to crystal microdermabrasion, which blasts aluminium oxide crystals onto the skin at a very high air pressure to create an exfoliation effect.
Is Microdermabrasion the same as Diamond Peel?
Diamond Peel machines are less complex in design as they do not need extra filters and compartments that the crystal units require therefore, they are generally lower in cost to purchase and easier to maintain with no ongoing cost of purchasing crystals to refill the machine.
Diamond peel is highly similar to the crystal microdermabrasion. The difference is that diamond peel uses a diamond-tipped instrument of different sizes and abrasions to exfoliate the skin. The diamond tip allows for precise targeting of specific areas and is suitable for delicate areas such as around the eyes and mouth, where crystal microdermabrasion avoids these areas to reduce the risk of crystals getting into the eyes and mouth.
