Beauty that makes everyone feel good
Beauty should make everyone feel good – that’s why we put in a lot of effort to source our raw materials ethically. At Caronlab, we have strict procedures in place to ensure our suppliers are aligned with our values. When onboarding a new supplier, our Purchasing Team requests statements, certificates and declarations proving that the supplier is GMP or ISO compliant and that there is no animal testing done in their supply chain. Since this year, we are also accredited by the world’s leading sourcing platform for building ethical supply chains; SEDEX.
No animal cruelty – ever
We believe there is no place for animal cruelty in the beauty industry (as does our resident office dog Fifi Caron). At Caronlab, we do not test our products on animals and we never have. On top of that, we have strict guidelines for choosing our suppliers – an important part of that is that they have to provide a declaration that they don’t test their products on animals. If they can’t provide this declaration, we don’t buy from them. Our Cruelty Free status has been certified by multiple organisations including PETA and Choose Cruelty Free. These organisations actively campaign to end animal testing that facilitates to market cosmetics, toiletries and other household products.
Vegan options
We proudly offer a vegan friendly option for all our products – in fact, a large part of our range is made without using any animal products. In the products that require the use of animal products (i.e. beeswax or lanolin), we make sure that the ingredients are sourced ethically and if we have the choice for an animal based or plant based option, we choose the plant based version. You can identify our Vegan products by the logo on the back.
Looking after the planet
We only have one planet and it’s our duty to look after it as well as we can. As a manufacturer, we recognise that our ecological footprint is larger than that of an individual or even a salon. On top of our efforts to offset our ecological footprint by using sustainable energy sources and raw materials, we have launched a fully sustainable, ethical skincare brand. Ocean Road is made to give salons an edge after a particularly rough year. The packaging is 100% recyclable and crafted with a PCR (post-consumer resin) plastic, which is a recycled plastic and sustainable alternative to help minimise our footprint on the earth. The range is 100% vegan and completely cruelty free. It’s shipped using sustainable packing material and made right here in Australia with the utmost respect to our planet.
Living and breathing sustainability
At Caronlab, we live and breathe sustainability. From product development to manufacturing processes and dispatch procedures – we keep evolving to minimise our ecological footprint. We are working towards changing over to 100% PCR (post-consumer resin) plastic for our packaging and becoming a paperless business. Alongside that, we are looking for other sustainable energy resources to accommodate our growing business – the bulk of our energy is currently supplied by solar panels on the roof, but we are aiming to make that 100%.
Caronlab Cares
Caronlab Cares. We don’t just say that, we try to show it in everything we do: from our choice of suppliers, to how we organise our research & development and our manufacturing process. We care about the planet and everything that lives on it, so that future generations can have a worry-free future and enjoy beauty with a clear conscience.
